River Parrett Trail

The river Parrett trail is a 50 mile route, which follows the River Parrett from its source, 3 miles north of Beaminster at Wynyards Gap, Cheddington, into Somerset, round Ham Hill and through the Somerset Levels, under the M5 and into the Severn estuary at Bridgewater.

It crosses the  the Liberty Trail near Haselbury Plucknet and connects to the Leland Trail at Ham Hill and the Brit Valley Way at Wynyards Gap.

The Parrett rises close to the Brit at Cheddinton with the Parrett flowing north through Somerset into the Severn estuary and the Brit flowing south through West Dorset into Lyme Bay and the English Channel.
